Our Commitment
MBANC — a division of Mortgage Bank of California Inc. (NMLS #38232) — is committed to ensuring that the mbanc.com website is accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. Measures Taken
MBANC takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of mbanc.com:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
- Alt text on functional images; decorative images marked appropriately
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components)
- Keyboard navigation support across primary navigation, forms, and interactive elements
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Form labels properly associated with inputs; error messages programmatically linked
- Click-to-call telephone links and accessible application forms
- Compatibility with screen reader assistive technologies (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS)
Ongoing Effort
Web accessibility is an evolving practice. MBANC audits accessibility periodically using automated tools (axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse Accessibility) and welcomes user feedback to identify issues we may have missed.
